Gulf Coast snaps losing skid with sweep

PANAMA CITY — Gulf Coast snapped a four-game losing streak with a doubleheader sweep of Coastal Alabama North on Wednesday at Joe Tom King Field.

The Lady Commodores (12-8) won the first game 7-3 and the second 11-3. Brittany Crowson started in the circle and got the win in the first game, going all seven innings and allowing three runs - two earned - on six hits and four walks with three strikeouts.

Hannah Segars was 2 for 3 with a home run and three RBI, while McKynleigh Harrell was 2 for 3 with a triple and two RBI, and Ellie Fried 2 for 4 with a double and a run.

Caroline Wooley added a solo home run, and Emily Greek had a double and scored two runs.

Taylor Lee earned the decision in the second game, giving up three runs - one earned - on four hits and a walk with three strikeouts in five innings.

Greek and Taylor Robinson each went deep for the Lady Commodores, with Greek adding a triple with three runs and three RBI.

Fried was 2 for 3 with a double and three RBI, while Wooley added two hits and Anna Greek two hits and two runs.
