Lady Commodores earn 2nd seed in the FCSAA DII South Atlantic District Championship

FCSAA DII South Atlantic District Championship:
The Lady Commodores have earned the 2nd seed in the 2023 FCSAA DII South Atlantic District Championship which will be held in Lake Worth, FL at the Elisabeth W Erling Gymnasium on the campus of Palm Beach State College.
The Ladies will play in the Semifinal match at 4:00pm est on Friday, November 3rd . They will await the winner of the 10:00am est match #3 seed State College of Florida vs #6 seed Lake-Sumter State.
State College of FL and Lake-Sumter St. vs. GC previous matches:
During their first meeting vs. State College of Florida, the Lady Commodores defeated the Lady Manatees in three sets (25-22, 25-13, 25-12).
The Lady Commodores have defeated the Lady Lake Hawks of Lake-Sumter twice during the regular conference season. During their first meeting, the Lady Commodores swept the Lady Lake Hawks 3-0 (25-16, 25-23, 25-23). In their second meeting, the Lady Lake Hawks fought hard but, in the end, the Lady 'Dores were victorious taking Lake-Sumter St. in five sets (22-25, 25-21, 21-25, 25-19, 15-9).
End of the regular conference season play:
During this past week, the #16 Lady Commodores gained a major conference win over #6 Pensacola State College. The Lady Commodores swept the Lady Pirates 25-16, 25-20, 25-23. The Lady 'Dores then traveled to Jacksonville, FL to play their final regular season match vs. FL State College at Jacksonville. The Lady 'Dores took the win in four sets (25-19, 25-12, 23-25, 25-18).
In today's Week 9 NJCAA ranking, the Lady Commodores are ranked #15 in the Nation.
This week the Lady 'Dores travel to Bay Minette, AL for their final regular season match vs. Coastal AL South on Thursday, October 26th at 7pm. The match will be played at Bay Minette High School.
