Softball ranked #8 in the Nation
Gulf Coast State College's Softball program is ranked #8 in the Nation.
In the NJCAA rankings that were released yesterday, the Lady Commodores are ranked #8 in the Nation! This past week, the Lady Commodores added three more wins defeating (currently ranked) Daytona St. 5-3, Santa Fe 7-5, and #9 College of Central FL 8-5 during the CMI Invitational in Longwood, FL. The Lady Commodores suffered their 4th loss of the season vs. the State College of FL 3-7.
Currently, the #8 Lady Commodores have a Batting Average: .351, On Base Percentage: .429, Slugging Percentage: .509, Home Runs: 12 (ranked 38th), RBI:153 (ranked 13th), 11 Triples (ranked 7th), and 39 Doubles (16th).

Paul pitched for five and one-third innings, surrendering four hits and two runs,
striking out one and walking two.
Peters: HR (top of the 1st), 3-4, 2 1st, 2 RBI, 1 run

Barnes threw four and two-thirds innings vs. Santa Fe surrendering 5 hits, 3 runs
while striking out 6 and walking 2.
Tryon: 2 RBI
Phillips: 1-2, 1 RBI, 1 run
Jordan: 1-2, 1 RBI, 1 run
Peters: 1-3, 2 runs
Vs. College of Central FL
Shelby threw 4 innings, allowing 6 hits, 5 runs (four earned) while striking out 7
and walking 4.
Peters: 2-4, 2 1st, 2 RBI, 1 run
Tryon: 2-3, 2 HR (solo HR in the 4th, 3 run in the 6th), 4 RBI, 2 runs
Lawrence: 2-4, Solo HR in the 1st, 1 RBI, 2 runs
