Six Commodores selected to the All-Panhandle Conference Teams
First Team All-Panhandle Conference:
Cole Horton finished his sophomore season ranked 11th in Home Runs (11), 10th in RBIs (51), 14th in Total Bases (105), and 12th in Slugging % (.660). Horton helped lead the Commodores to a 30-13 victory over Andrew College on Feb. 24th, collecting 2 Home Runs (top 1st 3 run HR, and top 4th 2 run HR), went 3-4 at the plate, 7 RBIs, and 5 runs. Then on March 16th vs. Chipola College, Horton went 2-4 at the plate, hit a 2 run Home Run in the top of the 1st, Grand Slam in the 7th, 6 RBIs, and 2 runs while leading the Commodores to an 11-1 victory.
Jack Reynolds finished the 2024 season ranked 4th in runs (58), 25th in Home Runs (8), 13th in hits (66), and 23rd in Batting Average (.369). During the Commodores' game vs. Shelton State on Feb. 15th, Reynolds amassed a Solo Home Run in the 1st inning, hit a 2 run Home Run in the 5th, went 2-3 at the plate, 3 RBIs, with 3 runs helping to secure their 9-0 win.
Cooper Whited had an impressive Freshman season accumulating 3 Complete Games (ranked 6th), ranked 1st in Shutouts (2), 12th in Wins (6), and 16th in ERA (3.75). During the Visit Panama City Beach College Baseball Classic vs. St. Johns River, Whited threw a 3-hit shutout, allowing zero runs over seven innings, while striking out four and walking one. Whited earned the 2024 Visit Panama City Beach College Baseball Classic MVPitcher award. Whited earned his second shutout vs. Tallahassee CC on March 20th, leading the team to an 8-0 victory. Whited surrendered three hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out nine and walking one.
Second Team All-Panhandle Conference:
Infielder Brant Baughcum ended his sophomore season ranked 25th in Home Runs (8), and 27th in RBIs (43). Buaghcum had an impressive game 1 at the plate vs. Andrew College on Feb. 24th, hitting a solo home run in during the 2nd inning, a 2 run top of 6th, went 4-5 at the plate, a double, 7 RBIs, and 4 runs. During game 2 vs. Andrew College, Baughcum went 2-4 at the plate, a Grand Slam in the 5th inning, 5 RBIs, and 2 runs.
Jeremy Todd finished his sophomore season ranked 11th in walks (38), 20th in On Base % (.482), and 26th in Fielding % (.993). During game 2 vs. Andrew College, Todd hit a three run Home Run in the 1st inning, went 3-4 at the plate, had 2 singles, 3 RBIs, and 2 runs.
Freshman Catcher Colton Wombles finished his 2024 season with a Batting Average of .276, On Base% of .458, Slugging % of .483, 180 in Put Outs, .970 in Fielding % and ranked 21st in Runners Caught Stealing (6). During the Commodores' game vs. Shelton State on Feb. 16th, Wombles collected 11 put outs, 3 assists, zero errors, and caught one stealing helping the Commodores to a 4-3 victory.
