Aiden Zagryn drove in four runs on three hits to lead the Gulf Coast Commodores to an 11–5 win over the Santa Fe Saints on Friday, January 23rd. Zagryn had a big day at the plate, doubling in the fourth inning to score three runs and adding an RBI single in the sixth. The Commodores broke the game open with a seven-run fourth inning. Johnny Ray started the scoring with an RBI single, followed by a run scored on an error. Zagryn later drew a bases-loaded walk, doubled to bring home three more runs, and Davis Avera capped the inning with an RBI double.
Bray Touchstone helped Gulf Coast get on the board earlier in the game with a solo home run to center field in the third inning, tying the score at 1–1.
Jordan Martinez earned the win on the mound for the Commodores. He pitched five innings, allowing six hits and three runs, two of them earned, while striking out three and walking three. Andrews, Jerkins, and Romeu were solid in relief, each throwing a scoreless inning.
Gulf Coast finished the game with 10 hits. Zagryn and Avera each recorded multiple hits, and the Commodores also turned a double play on defense.
