Commodores roll past Chipola 11-1 behind Zagryn’s Grand Slam

Marianna, FL-The Commodores earned a strong 11-1 win over #2 Chipola.  Gulf Coast set the tone early in the first inning with Carson Zagryn delivering a big moment with a grand slam to center field, driving in four runs and giving the Commodores an early lead.  The Commodores continued to add on throughout the game. In the seventh inning, Touchstone hit a three-run home run to left field to extend the lead and help seal the win.  Donovan Rabiei was outstanding on the mound for Gulf Coast State pitching a complete game, allowing just one run on three hits over seven innings, striking out eight and walked one.

Gulf Coast finished with 11 hits in the game. Davis Avera led the way at the plate, going 3-for-4, while Anthony Saleeba added two hits, while Carson Zagryn led the team with four RBIs.  The Commodores also played solid defense, turning one double play.
