Bio
Lauren Barberii enters her first season as Assistant Coach of the Lady Commodores Volleyball program.
Coach Barberii was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, where she played competitive club volleyball for seven years as both an outside hitter and libero. A standout student-athlete, she earned numerous honors throughout her playing career, including All-Southern Arizona First Team recognition at both positions.
After high school, Barberii attended Northern Arizona University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry with a perfect 4.0 GPA. While at NAU, she remained heavily involved in volleyball as president of the women’s club team for three years. In this role, she ran practices, organized travel for two teams, and served as a leader on the court, helping guide her team to a Silver Division Championship at the National Tournament.
Beyond her own playing career, she has a strong passion for teaching the game. Coach Barberii volunteered as a coach at Flagstaff High School during the 2024 season and provided private defensive lessons to help players sharpen their skills.
Coach Barberii recently moved to Florida to be closer to her family before pursuing a career in dentistry. She is excited to join the coaching staff and share her love of volleyball with the team.
