Aguilera Named FCSAA DII Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week

Danna Aguilera has been named the FCSAA DII Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week for her excellent play this past week.

Gulf Coast earned their first conference win of the season after defeating the Lady Titans of St. Petersburg in three sets (25-16, 25-19, 25-21). Aguilera had 10 kills, 5 service aces, and 12 digs during the match. Next, the Lady Commodores faced State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota, earning another sweep by scores of 25-17, 25-22, 25-18. Aguilera had 17 kills, 13 digs, and 2 aces in the match. The weekend ended with a win against Pasco-Hernando, sweeping the Lady Bobcats 25-12, 25-20, 25-17. Aguilera added 16 kills on an impressive .593 hitting percentage and 3 service aces.
