Lady Commodores set to compete at the 2025 FCSAA DII Cross Country Championship
Tallahassee, FL-Looking to improve on their finish from last season's FCSAA DII Cross Country Championship, the Lady Commodores enter this year's event with confidence and momentum. Gulf Coast has climbed to No. 12 in the nation and is coming off back-to-back first-place finishes at the Gulf Coast Invite and the Florida Gateway Invite. With a strong lineup and consistent performances throughout the season, the Lady Commodores are focused on carrying that success into the championship race.
They will look to key runners Lauren Logue, Adriana Cruz-Betancourth, Hannah Gadberry, Madison McMillan, and Hannah Da Costa to lead the charge in Tallahassee. Logue has been a consistent front-runner and team leader, often pacing the Commodores to top finishes. Cruz-Betancourth continues to be a steady scorer with her endurance and late-race strength. Gadberry provides reliability and competitive drive, helping secure crucial points for the team. McMillan has emerged as one of the team's most improved runners this season, showing strong finishes down the stretch, while Da Costa adds valuable depth and consistency that have been key to the team's recent success. Together, this group will look to keep Gulf Coast among the top programs in the state.
The field for this year's FCSAA DII Women's Cross Country Championship is stacked with competition, including the College of Central Florida, No. 6 Daytona State College, No. 21 Eastern Florida State College, Florida Gateway College, Florida State College at Jacksonville, Lake-Sumter State College, No. 22 Pasco-Hernando State College, Pensacola State College, South Florida State College, and Tallahassee State College.
The 5K championship race is set to begin at 9am est in Tallahassee, Florida, at the Apalachee Regional Park.
