NJCAA/FCSAA Region VIII Championship
The Lady Commodores are headed to the SHIP after defeating Chipola last night 85-54.
At the half, the Lady Commodores led the Lady Indians by 26 after an impressive 22 point run by Raiane Dias Dos Santos. The freshman guard finished the evening with seven three pointers, accumulating 33 total points, three assists and three steals. The Lady 'Dores were also led by Alieghya Bartholomew, Alisha Murray, and Aryelle Stevens. Bartholomew earned a double-double with 21pts (3-7 on 3's), 10 rebs, 7 assists, and 4 steals; while Murray's earned a double-double after collecting 19pts, 11 rebs, 5 assists, and 4 steals; and Stevens contributed 8 points, and 10 rebs.
They will play NWF today at 4:30pm in Niceville for the NJCAA/FCSAA Region VIII Championship. The Lady Commodores have defeated the Lady Raiders 2-1. During their last game vs. each other, the Lady Raiders defeated the Lady Commodores 77-67. The Lady Raiders led the Lady Commodores at the half with 42-23, then during the second half the Lady Commodores bounced back scoring 44 points to NWF's 35 points.
